CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION EVENTS

CENTENNIAL KICK-OFF / COMMUNITY DAY (AUGUST 2013)

Family-friendly entertainments, amusements, information booths, food providers, and campus tours will welcome our local communities, staff, and students to launch our centennial year celebrations.

1913 DAY

On September 25, 2013 on the 100th anniversary of the first classes at Fullerton College in 1913, we will engage the college community in understanding and re-living the experiences of the first class of students at Fullerton College. We will invite faculty and staff to teach classes and produce student centered events that represent the concerns, issues, and lifestyles of those people who attended the college and lived in North Orange County at that time. 30 student actors will impersonate the staff and students of the first year of the college.

FULLERTON COLLEGE HALL OF FAME GALA (MAY 2014)

The Centennial Hall of Fame Gala will be the signature special event night of the year. Staged on the campus quad, this star-lit evening will include an elegantly catered dinner, original music created for the event and performed by our faculty and current students, antique automobiles, a period airplane, and decorations that capture the spirit of our college made famous by our alumni and staff. The keystone moment of the Gala will be the honoring of our first Fullerton College Hall of Fame inductees Pat Nixon, Louis Plummer, Justice Cruz Reynoso, Sara McFerrin, Leo Fender, and Hal Sherbeck.
